OUR STORY
Afrolese emerged from a personal journey of healing and self-love. Founder Karine Sokpoh, a Togolese immigrant and lawyer, believed straightened hair was necessary for acceptance. Chemical relaxers caused severe health issues, including fibroids, miscarriages, and a hysterectomy at 38.
Determined to change, Karine embraced her natural locs and created a brand celebrating Black beauty, ensuring her daughters, Cyriana and Dominika, know their natural hair is powerful, worthy, and beautiful.
